This all- purpose homemade bathroom cleaner spray makes it easy to wipe away dirt and grime while also killing germs and bacteria. Plus, it smells so refreshing!
1 teaspoon Borax or Baking Soda
2 cups hot boiled Water
1/2 teaspoon liquid dishwashing soap
3 tablespoons white Vinegar
15 drops Lavender essential oil
10 drops Eucalyptus essential oil
5 drops Tea Tree essential oil
Stir all ingredients together in a small plastic container. (A strong strong stirring arm is needed to fully integrate the dishwashing liquid into the powder.) You should end up with a slightly damp powder.
To use, dampen the tub or sink and apply the homemade bathtub cleaner with a sponge or rag. Rinse well.
Home-made Massage Oil
15 drops Bergamot essential oil
15 drops lemongrass essential oil
2 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil
Combine all ingredients in a dark glass or PET plastic bottle.
Wait at least 24 hours after blending to let the massage oil 'cure'. Remember to keep the bottle in a cool, dark place. Use within three months. Caution: Bergamot essential oil can cause photo-sensitivity and sunburn. Do not use before sun exposure
Silk and Spice Bubble bath recipe
One and 1/2 cups (325ml) Liquid Castille Soap
Two tablespoons (10g) Vegetable Glycerin
Half tablespoon (7g) White Sugar
Five drops lavender essential oil, four drops patchouli, one drop clove. If your skin is sensitive, leave out the clove.
Gently stir together all ingredients in a large glass or ceramic bowl until the sugar has dissolved. (Plastic will absorb the odour of the oils).
Pour into a large dark glass or PET plastic bottle.
Let sit for 24 hours before using, to let the homemade bubble bath recipe "cure". Store in a cool, dark place.
To use, pour about a quarter cup of bubble bath under hot running water. Lie back and enjoy the silky, frothy goodness!
Relaxing bath blend
2 cups Epsom or Dead Sea salt
2 drops lavender, 1 drop vetiver, 1 drop patchouli, 1 drop marjoram essential oil
Good for stress-related pain and tightness.
